Scramble Rules:

  • This is a four person scramble. Each player is allowed to drop within “one club length” of the desired shot.

    Please Note*
One Club Length is the maximum drop zone around the selected ball.  It does not mean one club length on either side of the ball.  This would be a two club length drop zone.  The “One Club Length” rule cannot be used to get out of hazards (ie. water, bunkers) or to improve your lie (ie. Different height of cuts: If the selected ball is in the rough, then all four balls must be played from in the rough)

  • All balls must go in the hole to record a score.  No gimmes

Tee off Locations:

  • Men ages 60 and over can tee off from the WHITE blocks
  • Men ages 80 and over can tee off from the RED blocks
  • All other male participants must tee off from the BLUE blocks
  • All women are to tee off from the YELLOW blocks

Pace of Play:

  • The tournament is to move at a 4 hour 30 minute.  Groups moving slower, will be told to pick up and go to the next spot and will result in a one stroke penalty or a bogey for the hole.

Scorecards and Scoring

  • All groups will be given a GGID in order to enter their scores as they play.  This will enable you to see a live "up to the minute" leaderboard as well as what skins are out on the course.

Tie Breaker Option – To Determine Winners

  • If there is a tie for 1st place, the winning team will be determined based on retrogression.  I personally hate this method but due to restrictions and the straight tee time format, there is no other way to do this.  Retrogression is a normal practice in golf so that is what we will follow.

Tie Breaker Option – Skins

  • There has always been at least one skin in all of our tournaments, but in the event that there are no skins won outright by a single team, this tournament will award the skin money based on the following rules…..

  1. A skin will be awarded to the hole with the least amount of teams sawing it off.  Example:  Only 2 teams had the low score on hole 5, where multiple teams had the low scores on all the other holes.  The 2 teams on Hole 5 will split the skin money.

  2. If multiple holes have the least amount of teams sawing it off, then this tournament will award the money based on the following order:
  • Any hole in one or albatross that was sawed off with the least amount of teams, will win the skin money
  • Any Eagles on a Par 4 that was sawed off with the least amount of teams will win the skin money. If multiple Par 4’s were sawed off with the least amount of teams, then the teams eagling the Par 4 with the hardest handicap will be awarded the money
  • Any Eagles on a Par 5 that was sawed off with the least amount of teams will win the skin money. If multiple Par 5’s were sawed off with the least amount of teams, then the teams eagling the Par 5 with the hardest handicap will be awarded the money
  • Any Birdies on a Par 4 that was sawed off with the least amount of teams will win the skin money. If multiple Par 4’s were sawed off with the least amount of teams, then the teams making birdie on the Par 4 with the hardest handicap will be awarded the money
